If you read the textfile for Appendix you will see that the last screen is buggy. It's a party version of the demo. The "in middle" screen flicker is double-buffering, the blitter catches the horizonal beam, we didn't see this on the emulator when coding. Then the left part I can't explain, but it looks like one of the shift positions of the checker get truncated, again it didn't happen in the emulator. We might do a final version some day, but for now I will take a break for at least half a year.
I can also inform you that the Mega STe bliter uses 4 cycles MORE per blit operation, and the fullscreen uses one blit per scanline, so 273 * 4 cycles = 2 scanlines wasted CPU due to Mega STe shit :) But my code "generator" takes care of it and adds a nop on normal STe per line - it's very annoying in any case.
