Sorry for beeing cryptic, i was assuming it was a known problem.
The YM-code stopped working here after pulling the repos yesterday morning. Tried cloning it again too, with the same result. Seems someone renamed a symbol in the CNF_SOUND struct (nPlaybackQuality to nPlaybackFreq) - but either my pull is incomplete (never used mercurial before so i cant know for sure) or the whole patch was not submitted.
Ohwell, lets compile anyway i thought, and made an attempt to finish the renaming. Ok, so it compiled nicely again, but now there were division by zero crashing in the envelope setup code instead. And that leads us to the moral of the story:
#define SAMPLES_PER_FRAME ((SoundPlayBackFrequencies[OutputAudioFreqIndex]+35)/nScreenRefreshRate)
and a bunch more.... Probably an effective hack but seriously problematic to debug for a random dumb guy (me! :) ). If you redefine a macro by "accident" (like recompiling after debug and fix) you are in for a world of trouble, because afaik the compiler does not care...
So, sorry for any offense you may have taken... Hopefully the repos is back in shape by now :)
Oh, and i may not be the OS X "wizard" you were hoping for, but i am certainly hacking on it for whoever may be interested in our patches...
