Re: Falcon as a games machine.

Well, yes I did, but that didnīt change my mind that the falcon was/is a nice gaming machine... The price wasnīt the question nor how the quality of the average games is. But those games you mentioned were released in the mid-90s, where you could easily buy a more powerful PC with even more and "better" games.

The ST is also a nice gaming machine although itīs less powerful than the amiga. But compared to a plain st, you will agree that the falcon has superiour gfx and brilliant sound and so it has the potential to be an excellent gaming machine.

In my personal opinion if programmed well it could compete with the a1200. I agree that if you build the average of all games from both, the falcon is the loser, but thatīs not the point. The falcon has nice games and a lot of potential and it never was pushed to itīs limits :( But many of those games are free and many previews look promising (boom, "k", Raiden...)

And there are also some reasons to buy a falcon just for games ;) Towers II (extremly rare for the jaguar but freeware on falcon!), Radical Race...much fun and Killing Impact (I also like Running, but there may be better 1st person shooters).

Well sure that is spoken from an atari users point of view...if you want many good games with excellent graphics... buy a pc!

If you want a unique game system, which is still expandable today and can serve you like a pc and play games like on the pc about 10 years ago... get a falcon, best with ct60 ;)
