it's incredible but it works ;-) even damo's version, which he claimed to made in this way didn't work but as soon as i used atari only utilities for whole conversion (525, aniplayer -- asskicking stuff!) it works!
so now i know what was the problem -- I resampled this MP3 on PC to 32000 and then told MP2 player it's 32000 MP2 (which seems logical but it isn't right ;-)
and i also know, why silkcut worked -- I did do something really stupid -- I told Kalms I need 32780 MP2 (which was great idea after all ;-)... then I realized I can't enter 32780 in MP2 player so I asked him for 32000 version. but since he was quite tired he told me to convert it manually to 32000... so I opened it in aniplayer, clicked save and saved it as 32000... so it seems aniplayer didn't resample it, too? (moral conclusion of this action is I probably crippled that music because aniplayer depacked MP2, fake-resampled it to 32000 and saved again. damn. i try to ask kalms for wav in 32780... or maybe I can directly use this 32780 MP2 and just tell player it's 32000?)
btw. don't you think it would be more logical to change checking in nocrew's player? now it checks external/internal frequency settings in one go and it doesn't use the best approach -- if you have external 48 khz dsp clock then it sets 32000 frequency. but if you don't, it sets 32780 frequency. IMHO, it would be better to use tell user "sorry you don't have external 48khz, so you can't use 32000" instead of silent setting 32780...
anyway, thanks for your help guys, i really appreciate it.
evil: how do you mean it amiga version runs longer?
