of course I know this :)
but we can't mess two things: falcon native DMA replay frequency (which is 32780 as you say) and frequency which is able mp2 player to work with.
it's true when I set 32000 as MP2 internal replay frequency, DMA is set to 32780.
but (at least I think so) internally DSP routine works in 32000. this assumption support:
- silkcut uses 32k Hz MP2 and as far as you could see / hear, music is perfectly synced to demo
- evil uses 32k MP2s all the time, I can't believe he wouldn't notice this
- MP2s even can't be set for 32780 Hz sampling rate (it's out of standard -- yes, I know some advanced software can save 32780 MP2 but once again, it's nonstandard frequency)
- that my music is not going "faster". it seems like there's some "hole" in original version and when I play the converted one, this hole isn't there yet -- so the music gets 1-2 seconds out of sync (and this gap doesn't enlarge)... but I have to check it, damo promised me to replay output of my player and compare it in some cool proggie ;-)
if anyone has some comment on this, he's welcomed :)
