I read somewhere that they have succeeded in using movep, but I dunno if there will be such a speedup like the st.
Also, setting up the timer b (for example) for line doubling does have some penalty involved, but the amiga gets that for free.
On the other hand, the amiga has roughly 7/8ths horsepower the st has, so nothing else can be said until some sample routines have been tested side by side.
This looks like a job for... ultra ;)
