hi,
thanks for nice comment and detailed description. i'm a little bit worried about the development time -- CPUs for MPEG-2, 3D support, expansion slot... most of them in "planned" stage. I don't know about the others but for me is MPEG-2 as feature quite useless, I mean, it's nice, yes, but I'm not going to buy SV because I want to watch DVD movies on Falcon. So if it shorten dev time to minus half year, I vote for removing it.
About 3D: did you try to make some research how it's done in Amiga scene? I'm not expert on this topic but maybe you could learn from their solutions.
About expansion port: this is very discutable as well, it smells like duplicating the CTPCI/CT60 -- IMHO, this is the worst case what can happen to us -- to have split solutions of graphics, IDE, other CPUs, expansion slots etc... I'd like to see SV as target for advanced demos/games and CTPCI as target for "serious" work.
Just my opinion..
