Which is better from MY point of view? 2 considerations...

1. Most importantly, what fits in a stock case? It's no longer fashionable to have these HUGE Tower of Babble/Masada fortresses. I would choose the one which fits in the stock case. Nostalgia (although enhanced a bit) is most desirable.

2. Availability? I was in a rush to get a Video Card for my Falcon and got the SuperNova 4MB VRAM. Although I LOVED the card and had no complaints, if I only would have waited, I could have had that Eclipse which would be cheaper AND allow me to use 4 more megs of system RAM.

Then again, I may just do like the old days. I would forgo the whole SNES vs. Genesis, Saturn vs. Playstation debates and just buy EVERYTHING instead of making a decision on these matters.
