You could also try downclocking the 060 to the minimum frequency (50MHz) to see if there is any problem on this side.

I discovered that mine, running at 75MHz, was a bit unstable, and in fact, any gcc compilation would fail with some random CPU exception. At 74, I still got these exceptions once in a while, and at 73, it was ok. But running most Atari programs don't trigger this problem.
