No no no - isn't this some horrible STiNG mess? Please use native MintNet things.
Please use a real FTP server for MiNT or setup the server on your Windows computer.

It's not a mixup, the figures you have read corresponds to STiNG! In MintNet and CT60 it's about 400kiloBYTE/s.
As you might notice, I'm not exactly a fan of STiNG. I've had nothing but lousy performance and odd behaviour from it.
