I see, I missed js.xdd in the latest release.
js.xdd installs a device called /dev/js, which is used to access the IKBD (standard digital) joystick.
jagpad.xdd installs...
/dev/joypad0
/dev/joypad1
/dev/ajoy0
/dev/ajoy1
(Forget the latter two, they're just some experimental stuff I forgot to remove)
The emulator will look for devices named /dev/js0 (controller #1) and /dev/js1
(controller #2), but just as you say I should definitely add command line settings in the next release (it's fairly easy to add anyway)
I haven't created a teamtap driver yet, but I might do so in the future.
Apart from installing the drivers and creating symbolic links, no further configuration should be necessary, except specifying which type of joystick interface to use on the speccy side.
IIRC, you can specify which type of interface to use for /dev/js0 in the built in menu system, while /dev/js1 is fixed to 'sinclair 1'.
