That little trick did not quite work. It was close and led us to the solution. Mint already sets up a path for slb's (shared libraries) to be placed in. Coda had me type in something under the terminal program and it was able to find the actual path that MINT is using so there is no need to change the path or even specify it in the MINT.CNF.
