But to your question:
1. Yes, eventually. You need to wait a while though.
2. No. I take it this is a soldered install (otherwise Rodolphe wouldn't have been involved). When the CT60 is soldered in, the original connections from the falcon's clocks are disconnected. You shouldn't need to ever remove the CT60, as you can turn it off, and put the Falcon back into 030 mode with a switch. I would suggest reading the manual if you are not sure how to do this.
