How did you format the IDE drive, was it using AHDI or ICD? I seem to remember HD Driver would have nothing to do with my AHDI formatted Conner 65mb IDE drive, would corrupt the partitions and all sorts. From what I remember HD Driver only likes to partition IDE drives and can't format them (mind you my version is a touch out of date). So it might be something to do with that..
