They (nature) are doing this the perfectly correct way. To sell 125+ boards at 100+ euros each, you'll have a hard time explaning it's only a hobby, especially when you earn a bit from it.
The solution is to register a company and sell from that, then you have to add the 25% VAT.
However as they buy materials, they can even out the material VAT with the sale VAT, so in practice they buy the material VAT-free, which they wouldn't be able to do without their company. So in the end, it doesn't add much (or nothing) to the final cost to do it like now instead of as a hobby. It's just a question where the VAT should be added; at purchase of materials or at final sell. For legal reasons, nature are doing it as it should be done.
