This seems to be the explanation for the missing +5V we have discussed @ #atariscne, ray fixed it by just soldering a wire from another +5V source. In hindsight it seems to be the easiest and cheapest possibility for fixing. Next one would be to replace the 74LS244(? just typed from memory), another cheap and widely available component and last not least one of the ACIAs. But since none of your keyboards responds the defect has to be on the motherboard and not on the keyboard pcb.
Anyway I've heard no complaints about the +5V wire fix so far. Btw I think evil mentioned this fix originally some month ago when rays kbd was damaged.
