well, check the connection between mb and connector, orientation :)
I'm using a 3.5" 6 gb drive with 2.5->3.5 connector which
didn't require any modification (it's thin)
and it works great with modified hushi...
cable lenghth should be as short as possible ...
try reformatting it...
p.s. formatting jaz disk with bad sectors is not a good idea ;)
never do it :)
