Out of curiosity, are you using a 2,5" IDE HD? Or do you use an adapter to a 3,5" unit?
If so, what kind of adapter? At first, I tried a cable that converts the 2,5" connector to a 3,5" dito and I could never get this cable to work reliably. My guess is that there was bad connection between the pins on the Falcon motherboard and the small 2,5" connector end on the converter cable.
Occasionally, this would lead to the the drive name containing strange garbage chars and stuff like that. And this was with a brand new Seagate Barracuda btw.
Regards,
Joakim

What's the anti-troll code? That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
