The best working one i found was the
"0.11.0-unsupported" (unofficial) Version i got
from http://www.radix.net/~atari/

Sadly, the website including the archive is down.
If someone has that one, i'd like to get a copy!

It was the official 0.11.0 compiled against a fixed
SDL.

I agree, the recent versions are unusable slow.
One day a buddy and me tried to crosscompile 0.13,
which worked good, too.

I guess compiled with recent SDL and MiNTlib, but
with old 2.95.3 gcc should work fastest; the more
recent the gcc is, the slower the executables
seem to get.
