I am using CT63 and also encounter boot up that requires a couple of hardware resets. But I think not as many as 15 times... I forgot how many times but I am using a workaround that only requires 1 hardware reset. I also forgot if this happened on v2.01 only.
If it fails to boot up, I go to 030 mode & power on. At the Atari logo, I switch back to 060 mode without power off. Now I do a single hardware reset which will boot up on 060.
By doing this procedure, I am not sure if there is any risk to damaging my Falcon as it is switching mode when it is still running. But I guess it is doing some initialisation even before normal TOS memory check or FDD access, and it is not doing something like accessing HDD etc. So I figure it is OK.
Some be someone can advice/comment on this.
