Well in UMD 8730 I did this for quite a few players, mainly to save disk space and memory.

For example, packing say 10 Megatizer files would be 40kb. However if I separated the music player and packed the data I saved another 25kb!

Off the top of my head I separated the following drivers :-

Megatizer
Megatizer SID (2.9)
TFMX (chip)
TFMX-COSO
COSO-MMME
COSO-SID
TFMX Hueslbeck
Magic Synth 1.0
Magic Synth 1.0D
Magic Synth 2.1
Magic Synth 2.3
Magic Synth 2.5
Magic Synth 2.7
Blip Blopper
Big Demo musics
ISO
Music Mon
Jason Page
PSD/PSG (Crawdaddy)
Sid Sound Designer
Tri-Sound
Tri-Sound-Sid

I still have all the UMD data. The hard ones would be all the exotic stuff, though I guess most old chip zaks would be ok on 060?
