I've managed to build pmDoom 0.55 from sources and it works quite nice in 32BPP mode on Radeon(,but 32 BPP need to be forced from commandline). The downside is that sound system crashes system during initialisation in my build (on plain f030 too), so I have to investigate what is going on.
The 8BPP mode isn't working correctly yet, I don't know why. It plays normally until there are some calculations made on the whole frame, like picking up the object, player hit or firing the weapon.
I think that pmHexen, pmHeretic should work too.
