if you look underneath the slot, on the solder side, you will see a square hole instead of the normal round hole for the pins to be soldered on. This square pin identifies the pin 1.
Also as mentioned by Ektus, there is a key - one pin is missing. On the cable itself, you will have one hole on the connector is covered/blocked up. This will ensure that it is not plug in incorrect because it will only fit the side where there is no pin !
In case, your cable does not have a block hole at the connector, either get one that does for safety.
Else just make sure the red line on the cable wires are at the same side as the square solder holes. Care as you flip around, left goes to right and right goes to left !!
