glad to see that you are alive! I really feared, that something heappened as you did never answer my mails.
About the old interfaces:
I had no idea about following, and I am sad to have not recognised anything.
"I mean no offense but I really felt that the wishes of users were not very important for the hardware developers". The problem was, that you counted in several months after the prototypes were finished. All the legacy Ports together (this means: SCSI, ASCS, MIDI, GAME-Port, Atari keyboard/mouse, Floppy, ROM-Port, Serial, etc.) are about 50,- Euros. So you asked us to leave them after we had one year publicly told, that we include them and several people told us they are happy about this fact. Especially ROM-Port, ACSI, Game-Port were highly demanded by other users, as well as Atari keyboard. MIDI is mandatory.
I am sorry that you felt that you or your opinion were "not important". Because that´s not true. I would have loved to see this critics inside the project 8 months ago, so that anyone would have had an Idea why you were unmotivated. And not write you tons of mails that you didn´t answer, to see here publicly the answer months later.
It´s not that easy to bring the position of 50 participants together. So it´s not "wishes of users were not very important" but different users have different wishes!
Maybe if you recognise how important people count your software, you will get more motivation again. If I can do anything about motivation, please let me know. Of course I have to respect if people feel like they are doing a "boring job" inside a free project. But please consider that some people have not the freedom to stop when they feel bad, as it´s a hardware project, with 65k Euros investment so far - and noone of us earns anything.
So please tell me what could be done in a better way in future, and what is needed to let you feel good while doing your hobby, AND let the public use your started great software-projects.
