I use 80 wire cables, but i shortened them by taking off the black connector and put it back between the grey and blue connector.
Then the part with the grey connector was cut off right behind the black connector.
I suggest testing the modified cable with an unimportant HD on an unimportant PC, as i
needed 4 tries to get 2 working short 80 wire IDE cables.
I've had absolutely no stability problems (Radeon plus Realtek 8139 plugged) since i mounted my CTPCI.
My ct63 is clocked at 103 MHz, no bus speedup.
These are just my 0,02€.
