I also have seen parity errors when the PCI bus scan is taking place at boot-time.
Originally I was using 80 core cables too which I thought were perfect. Since then I've been using 40 core cables instead and which are slightly shorter than the 80 core ones. Additionally I just have two connectors on the cable and my PCI parity errors no longer appear.
I've yet to actually use them though.
Have you tried 40 pin cables Didier ? Or try shorter ones ?
