NetBSD on CT60 |

Hello everyone,
maybe it will be interesting thing for you -- since 5.0.1 it's possible to boot NetBSD not only on TT/Falcon again but also on CT60 equipped Falcon! After some experiments I was able to install and boot current netbsd snapshot. I've got EtherNEC so I could use it too as there's driver for it in netbsd kernel.
Basically the installation is quite easy, even easier than FreeMiNT ;), you just need to copy installer somewhere (1.44 MB), load kernel (~1 MB) into memory with .ttp application and survive trough installation procedure to the point when fsck says everything is OK and "real" installation begins.
I wasn't able to run X server (according to Beetle there's no support for generic Falcon resolutions, just some TT High and gfx cards) so it wasn't much fun after all -- just a console, similar to Linux/m68k.
About speed, it wasn't exactly sprinter, much slower than FreeMiNT boot for example. Hard to say how much CTPCI would help as netbsd boots into 2-color graphics, i.e. fastest possible, so Videl isn't big anchor here.
Anyway, just to share my experience.
