Already done the obvious with the RAM. its the flat Atari's own type so I cannot try a different sim. Im actually annoyed that I used to have a spare 4MB one because I could have used that to test it, so, I will see if I can have the use of someone elses to try that out I think.
But yes, its been re-seated, its snug, all the contacts seem to be making good contact, and indeed I have been fully able to utterly fill up the RAM with samples etc and they have played back just fine.
Again, this might mean nothing and so, I do want to try out a completely different STRAM board.
I have an update and whether its positive or not, is yet to be seen, but I have taken the SCSI completely off the setup and so far it has not crashed anywhere near as badly.
I have also swapped over the RIGHT and LEFT clicks in CAB and guess what? - its cured it? Go figure? - Swap them back and it crashes??? - weird. But its a way to avoid the crash, even if it is not a real solution, its enough.
But, I am now able to seemingly go in and out of CAB , QED, and ImageCopy4 for a good 10 or 15 minutes without a problem, this is a massive improvement.
Texel wont export still, so I will work on that next.
