Hello everybody,
i have some trouble with my new CT63 (one of the last batch, March 2009).
I put it in yesterday with a mate who owns 3 CT60/63 Falcons and its working ok so far.
Itīs still in the original Falcon case with PicoPSU 120W, 512MB 133MHz Kingston CL2 SD-RAM and a 2.5" Toshiba internal IDE Harddrive. I have a PhantomS 25/50MHz Accelerator installed by Petr as well.
What i found out so far is, if i start my Falcon with MagiC and run Quake from there, it runs totally normal and in a very good and playable speed (at 66MHz, as i canīt set the clock to 90MHz due to the "Unknown Flash Device"-Error). Even Heretic and Hexen run fast, but the screen is totally distorted. I can only see the game on the upper fourth of the screen 4 times in a row with graphic errors, the other 3/4 are just black. But from what i can see there, it would be the normal speed (fast). This only happens in MagiC, not in TOS. In TOS the screen is absolutely normal but it is not playable (awefully slow!). :(
MiKro already told me that it could be the 5 Seconds Cache delay in the CT60Conf.cpx, but i canīt remove it, because when i exit the CPX-program it tells me "Unknown Flash Device" and nothing has been saved.
I already tried the new Version 1.04, but itīs still the same.
And i have another problem. My CT63 just switches off without any reason. Sometimes it shuts off after 5 Minutes, sometimes i can play Quake half an hour until it just switches off. It does this in 030 mode and 060 mode, in TOS and in MagiC. I donīt have a clue what this could be and to solve it. Maybe you lot have a good hint? :)
