I would rather guess it's a matter of the CF<>IDE adapter than the flash-card itself.
I bought a bunch of Flash adapters from Hongkong (3 euro for five adapters..) och they worked fine. However in the end I changed back to a harddisk. The harddrive is more or less entierly silent and have room for so much more - and it's easy to get them for free from scrapped laptops :-) Ill keep the flashthing in the drawer as a backup :)
