I don't think that Kingston CF Cards are generally bad. I use two different Kingston 4GB flawless on my ct63 (100MHz, HDDriver 8.20). I did encounter stability problems when i had my ZIP100 IDE drive added to the IDE chain, though.
Possibly you just have a "Monday's card"
That was with the original Firmware my ct63 came with. Still not tested, if the problems disappeared with the new Firmware i got. Maybe i check out later this week.
