Sprite Image Calculating
Posted by: Bod/STAX Feb,01.2013-20:15

Is there an easy way to work out what image to display when using a sin-curve?

What I mean by this is something similar to the old snurkel scrollers where you need to display a certain font that has been pre-rotated for a specific sin-offset.

I am trying to add the proper enemy waves in my game. If you check the original R-Type the first two waves you encounter are the red aliens and then you encounter two waves of five sprites each that always face the direction they are travelling along the sin-curve, this is what I need to calculate.

I could do this by hand but it would take quite a bit of time to get right which is why I was wondering if there was an easy way to do it.

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
