Hi,
I really like packing. Don't know exactly for EXE packing, but for binary packing I use ARJBETA (by Mr.Ni) now in my demo-system.
You can check this in my open source atari demo-system kernel:

ARJBETA is slighty better ratio than LZH, which is slighty better than Ice-Packer.
For *best* packing ratio you can use the great PackFire tool by Neural wich use LZMA (algorithm invented by 7zip). this is really AWESOME packing ratio but is extremly slow to depack ( but good choice for small data such as 4kb demo I guess).
