Safe Loading Address
Posted by: Bod/STAX Mar,24.2012-22:43

What is the absolute safest address to load data.

For example I make a trackloader disk and don't call any traps whatsoever, call to the hardware direct and use a DMA loader for all disk access.

A lot of demos load as low as $500.w but I have made trackloaders before and could only get thigs to work loading to $10000 any lower and generally after loading sometimes things would lock-up or no loading would take place.

Are there some rules I should know to be able to load as low as $500.w.

Although my game will be 1MB+ I would still like to sqeeze as much RAM as possible out of the STE.
