ah, that's clear now -- I spare you some time, no way to do it in this way ;)
Falcon has pretty much regs to control video picture, not only setting number of bytes per row etc but also some complex stuff about borders and sync stuff... you can't just say "set me st baby" ;)
only way it will work in ST way is to boot into 320x200 (holding CTRL during boot) and then use normal ST shifter commands.
but that is, let's face it, pretty lame ;-)
use screenpain / leonard's / dhs system values for sure.
