Re: DSP host bandw. (blitter?)

lol :-) Thanks for those words, Mikro.

-------- cut here ----------

I rarely touched my machine for a couple of years, and prior to that I didn't do much either:
15-16 years ago I drew some graphics and wrote some music for some Amiga demo.
I think the group was called ZeTeam (or something like that).
On the Atari, I wrote some tune for the Life's a Beat demo, and coded some simple never-released assembly stuff.
And - *That pretty much sums it up*.

Last summer, I decided to start using my machine again, so I installed EasyMiNT/Xaaes and - *damn*. I'm far from a good coder, but at least I can contribute with the stuff I *can* do. Regarding DSP programming, I still haven't got a clue. I've downloaded lots of docs and utilities, and I'll give it a go as soon as I finish my next Frodo-update.

--------- snip ------------

about the topic;
As I see it, the blitter could be the programmable DMA device Jasn is asking for.
It's usually too slow for other uses anyway.. Not my cup of tea though (yet!!).

regards

-- Peter
