earx, what nuggets of supreme widsom thou has dropt on me! i'll try the and.b dn,(an) method tonite and see what xfer rate i get.
As for SDMA + host xfers in parallel: it seems to me i would lose some of my sync precision due to the fact my dsp routes operate on blocks. I would have to alternately start and stop SDMA transfers in chunks, also, I would be loading the DSP down a bit with interupts. Primarily, it all seems like a headache i am not prepared to deal with. However, a ct60 + fpga xfer device sounds fun, tho i don't know much about hardware timing in this case.
