@505

> There is hassle with Digicomposer and HDindeed. Did you try entering C:\ in the path area in disk menu?
--------------
Yes, but there is no actual button there. It doesn't react.
So seems like it's required to set path in PREFS. Which I do: I change all paths from A: to C:
Then I try to load anything and 3 bombs blow to my face (haha).

> Anyway, Digicomposer and Noisetracker ST are very much alike, but I think Noisetracker performs a bit better in general and with HD even.
> However, I don't think these trackers don't have many advantages over the ST-version of Protracker,
----------------------------
Hmmm, the differences are small but important. When I use songs made of loops, I can't use DigiComposer as it's slower than PT. Loops don't work / don't suit there.
On the other hand, I noticed that on one of them tremolo doesn't work. And it would be PT - if I recall - that doesn't do that.
And so on, You know. Small stuff - but can hurt sometimes.

> also not regarding replay frequency.
---------------
Well, of course I will not argue about it as I'm not a technical guy, so I could be wrong. Maybe it wasn't frequency but kind of engine? (Like: with the same frequency 50kHz_Player for ST/fm sounds better in "Quartet Mono" mode then
"YM Mono". Maybe it's this kind of thing).
Anyway I was recording back then, from both trackers and one 520ST machine - and I noticed the difference while listening and lookin' on diagram.
So - maybe it's kinda personal impression.

> You can find the sample finetuning function in PT, just click on volume and you get the parameter instead of volume.
-----------------------
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now You've killed my brain. 3 years of using it (on Amiga I use different soft, so it was my first encounter with any PT) and I have NEVER thought there is hidden such a feature!!!!! :) :) :) Really dude, now I'm in shock, believe or not. :) :) :)
Thx a lot and I will test the feature later today. :)
Hahahahahahahahahaha. Good one indeed. :)

> The only things I missed in PT is that Noisetracker allows to shift samples by octave, very useful for using samples in higher octaves and Digicomposer had a fancy intro ;)
----------------
Haha, yes it does. ;) Although such an intro might be troublesome while the concert, hehe. ;)
Ah, we will see.

Thanks a lot for the help btw!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
