That's most likely an internal version of FA8 or similar sound card. Eg, it uses the DSP outputs. As you might know, the Falcon have four stereo pairs. Only one pair can be connected thru the headphone/microphone socket at a time. The other three pairs can be routed over DSP and an external soundcard (DA/AD-converters).

Speculation: It looks like maxYMiser routes the DMA and YM differently if it detects the hardware.

Testing: Play the SNDH with SND Player as an ACC, or in a multitasking system. Then run IPHIGENY and re-route the audio to the internal headphone-jack to verify that it's the case.


Solution1: Hack the maxYMiser driver to ignore any external hardware and route audio like an ordinary Falcon. Or rather, don't route it at all and let it use the default routing.

Solution2: Depending on how it is connected, I think it's just a matter of removing the soundcard.
