but I still don't understand your point, you want some source code (or binary) which shows number of cycles for given piece of code. but author of such listing must use exactly the same source -- DSP UM as reference. and in case you need to verify the numbers physically -- you know the processor clock, you know number of (expected) cycles and you certainly have some timer to measure execution time of let's say 1000 instructions.

or do I still miss your goal?
