Re: SD article (no BS now i hope)

I think my other thread went a bit all over the place :)

my take on it and what I actually meant was that SD card based 'hard drives' offer easy transfer of big demos between pc and atari.

I have a megafile hard drive and it works great, but copying a big file from my pc involves splitting it into small bits, copying to floppy and joining it all back together again - a pain.

with my satandisk, I just stick the card in the pc, copy the file, then power up the atari - job done.

I would like to see bigger (in file size) productions - say demos with more .MODs for example, or DMA style video footage.

I don't see this as a step back at all, I see it as a way to make bigger and better music disks and have more content in a demo.

being freed from the 800k file limit can only be a good thing - all the hardcore coders can still write for 1meg ram, they can just add more content.

just my thoughts :D
