You mean twisting the cable? No. You need to jumper DS0 and have no cable twist (pins 10-16 IIRC). DS1 and cable twist is for Drive A on PC, which is a DRIVE B workaround and not fully compatible (because 3.5" drives were historically only upgrades (IE 3.5 was added to an existing 5.25" system)).
