Yes, I too find Thing to be the nicest replacement desktop for the Atari. While it would make sense to encourage the Teradesk development, it lacks some of the features one would normally expect from a modern desktop.
Since it seems that developers still aim to keep it a small and efficient desktop, without all the extras that are present in Thing and Jinnee, someone might perhaps be interested in creating a "modern" branch? Where stuff like background images and such could be added.
Well, it's a thought anyway ;)
