This went a bit off thread.

I was hoping that someone might have some knowledge of the compatibility of these Philips devices they are both of the 116x family.

Obtaining and installing usb ports in a Milan or Hades is a "no-brainer" but is useless without the usb software to support them. This is why I spent quite a lot of time searching for a Philips based card and this was the closest match to date.

The other faint ray of hope is that Mint might one day support other open source usb software so we can use pci/isa usb cards in the Milan/Hades.
