Defective CT60
Posted by: MacFacon May,07.2006-16:39

Hi folks,

I have a big problem with my first ct60: It is very
unstable, sometimes it even doesn't boot and
shows only a half atari logo, or writes
read error for several drives, crashes with
lots of exeption errors...
First I thought it was the cpu, so I exchanged it.
The same result. Yesterday we tried at an
atari meeting with my cpu in another ct60,
there it worked. My ct60 with the sdram of
the other computer: the same error as before.
Maybe a complete new flashing of the chips
and TOS solves my problem, but I have nearly
no hope, as this was already the case when I
got my CT60 from Rodolphe (one of the first
ones of the first batch)... at that time
I thought this was normal, but after my
2nd ct60 arrived and worked much better, I
began wondering...

Does anyone have similar experiences, I mean
only half of the atari logo (not the ct60 logo, this works)
and access faults to the hdd...

Cheers,

Mac
