Update on USB mouse driver...
Posted by: Coda Mar,10.2006-00:48

I have got a mouse pointer displayed on the screen which is being moved via a usb mouse through the ethernat hardware (this is a big step up from just having coordinates printed on the screen :-)). Now, I am doing this by directly adding the mouse deltas from USB into the relevant variables in Line_A table, the side affect is that both mice can move the pointer. I know that use of Line_A is frowned upon, but I think that this is more related to using the funtions to draw objects rather than what I am doing. I need to go as low level as I can so that theres more chance of most apps and OS'es working correctly. I have tested this program quickly in TOS and under MiNT 1-16 with xaaes and it seems ok. I just need to work on turning this code into a seperate init and interrupt handler, and then it will be a usable standalone USB mouse driver to feed the hungry new EtherNat users that will be around very shortly.

I don't really have any problems coding the lower level part of the USB drivers (yet), the hard part is actually implementing it at device level by hooking into TOS somehow that won't break anything. I know that theres some very experienced coders around here, so I want to take the opportunity to ask for any helpfull suggestions...

Coda.

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
Don't have a code or forgot it? Fix it here.
