Re: Strange problems with ENEC

Try again without F030 boost, an ISA card not like 25 MHz, 16 is a maximum. Sting speed is limited in download (50-75 KB/s). MiNT is faster, try to decrease the Delay inside STING.CPX .

About BUGGY_HW, I can see inside the sources (ACHITEC.TXT) :

ARCHITEC.TXT ThR
2002-05-04

Architecture of EtherNE NE2000 driver support for Atari ST compatible
Machines.

[..]

If you study the source code you will notice quite some gymnastics to
recover from funny behaviour of the original 8390 chip in the NE2000
design. This is also present in the original Linux driver code and
seems to be unavoidable. In fact if I knew these problems before I
probably would have chosen another ethernet card family... The
Realtek 8019 seems to not have these problems at all and I have made
this code conditional (BUGGY_HW). The Code is switched on because
there seems to be lot of funny hardware out there.

Regards,

Didier.

What's the anti-troll code?
That's your personal code to be able to add comments and messages on the dhs.nu site.
