Good tip about the wire, I took one look at the wire I'd thought about using and the pins I was going to solder onto and quickly decided that it was about three times too thick. My soldering iron is going to need an upgrade as well, the 25w one I got from Maplins recently, has always been poor, but after a period of inactivity it has died a death (I'd advise anywone to avoid 25w soldering irons from Maplins). Mind you if I'd known what I was doing at the time I would have got a 30w one instead of wasting my money. It fortunately is fairly obvious from the diagrams on Rodolphe which pins the wires need soldering onto, just got to pick up the courage to do it now (after some dry runs on bread board ;-) )
