Hi CT60 users,
I´m completely at a loss. My CT60 Falcon crashes at random, and I can´t find out what causes them. Here are the symptoms:
- rarely a black screen after pressing the power button,
- sometimes crashes while booting, stops anywhere at boot sequence, with and without error messages (e.g. "Access Fault"),
- crashes at random after booting (e.g. frozen desktop)
in CT60 mode with and without boosted motherboard (in 030 mode, I´ve never got any stability issues). Often I´ve got
several days or weeks no problems at all.
Rodolphe installed the CT60 (second batch) and boosted and modified (clock problem) the motherboard last year. Due to the stability issues I sent him my CT60 board + SDRAM some weeks ago. He said they were okay. The last option for me seemed to be a bad PSU. Therefore I tried the third PSU (a 300-watt PSU for 29 euros from HEC: HEC-300AR-PTF) yesterday but again without success: still the same problems. By the way, I use the latest firmware.
My questions are:
a) What are the symptoms for a bad PSU? I need a quick answer because I can only exchange the PSU by Friday.
b) Does anyone know the mentioned problem and has any tip for me? Any comments are wellcome!
