Games on CT60 : (
Posted by: Christiaan Oct,18.2005-20:37

Hi fellow Atari friends,

It's a nice day for gaming on the Atari but sadly I have some problems with my favourite games.

Douqquake
I took a perfectly running (on the PC) copy of Quake and installed it om my harddrive. Then I put the douqquake file in the ID folder. After this I executed the file. I get the following error

Findfile: Can't find gfx.wad
Couldn't load gfx.wad
Couldn't write config.cfg

And the bonus price:

Exception processing 4: Illegal Instruction etc. etc.

Probably I'm doing something wrong

Scummvm
In this Bulletin you can find my experience with Scummvm. I treid it with a couple of setups (single TOS, Magic 6.1) and it does not run stable. Last time I run DOTT (the best adventure game of all time) I even got a hard reset. Some people have got this program running stable. Maybe you could share the secret (of monkey Island?).

Then there is Doom 2. This is the only port that runs exceptional stable and at decent playable speed.

Please help this little big kid with his toys. Make me happy.
